Leo Muchnik

Leo Muchnik focuses his practice on bankruptcy matters. He represents debtors, bondholders, purchasers, trustees, and plan administrators in complex Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 bankruptcy proceedings.

Leo also has experience in all aspects of section 363 asset sales, including drafting pleadings and sections of asset purchase agreements, performing due diligence in connection with purchases, and attending contested hearings. In addition to his bankruptcy practice, Leo also handles complex transactional matters, including credit and loan documents, indentures, security agreements, intercreditor agreements, operating agreements and bylaws, and trademark license agreements.



  • Represented mobile communications company with respect to disputes over trademark license and supply agreements, and in defending against bondholders’ objection to plan.°
  • Represented purchaser/DIP lender in its acquisition of a cosmetic and skincare company.°
  • Represented Chapter 7 trustee in liquidation of a multibillion-dollar REIT and one of the largest Chapter 7 cases ever filed.°
