Kristen ‘Kristin’ Taylor represents corporate clients in complex labor and employment litigation matters. She handles cases involving discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, and noncompete agreements. Kristin advises clients on compliance with federal, state, and local labor and employment laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and Title VII.

In her practice, Kristin develops litigation strategies, drafts pleadings, motions, and briefs for federal and state court proceedings. She conducts legal research and analysis on labor and employment law issues. Kristin also negotiates settlements and participates in alternative dispute resolution, including mediations and arbitrations. In addition to her litigation work, Kristin conducts internal investigations of discrimination claims.

  • Achieved dismissal of employee’s racial discrimination action in the Northern District of Georgia and subsequent affirmation of the dismissal by the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.°
  • Achieved dismissal of employee’s false imprisonment and kidnapping claims in Georgia state court (criminal).°
  • Achieved dismissal of applicant for employment’s petition under the Fair Credit Reporting Act to the California Supreme Court.°
  • Obtained voluntary dismissal of patron’s disability discrimination claim against amusement park under the ADA and the Florida Civil Rights Act in the Middle District of Florida.°
  • Obtained settlement through mediation for client in sexual harassment and whistleblower matter brought by former employee in the Central District of California.°
  • Negotiated the dismissal of parent corporations and individual defendants in greater than five employee discrimination matters.°
  • Completed internal investigation of claims of pregnancy, gender, and race discrimination resulting in voluntary dismissal of employee’s EEOC charge.°
  • Achieved settlements in over 10 matters through informal settlement negotiations with opposing counsel.°
