Greenberg Traurig Adds Of Counsel Gregory Cooper to Las Vegas Corporate & Securities Practice

LAS VEGAS – March 18, 2016 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Gregory Cooper to its Las Vegas Corporate & Securities Practice.

Joining the firm as of counsel, Cooper’s practice encompasses complex corporate transactions, including security offerings, mergers and acquisitions, compliance matters, and general corporate advice to a vast range of constituencies.

“Greg brings to Greenberg Traurig a unique skillset, having handled a wide range of complex corporate transactions, both at major law firms and in his in-house roles,” said Michael J. Bonner, co-managing shareholder of the Las Vegas office. “In addition to his experience handling a broad spectrum of corporate and transactional matters, Greg brings solid gaming industry knowledge from working for a dynamic and growing regional gaming resort company.”

Cooper previously served as Vice President of Legal Affairs at Ameristar Casinos, Inc., where he handled general corporate, security offerings, mergers and acquisitions, finance, real estate, and construction matters for the company.

Ameristar, a Las Vegas-based regional gaming company, was sold to rival casino operator Pinnacle Entertainment in 2013.

Cooper earned his J.D. from Yale Law School, and his A.B. from Princeton University.
