The celebration begins with a reception with a live band and raffles, followed by dinner and conversation with Dr. Kalanithi, a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at Stanford University and an advocate for culture change around healthcare value. The evening will conclude with "live" and "fund-a-need" auctions to raise funds for Kara's crucial work. Kara is a nonprofit which provides comprehensive grief support, crisis intervention and education to individuals and communities facing the difficult realities of death and loss.
