Navigating the Shifting Federal Employment Law Landscape

Johnine Barnes will be moderating webinar "Navigating the Shifting Federal Employment Law Landscape," on April 15th.  This will be a timely discussion with Glenn Spencer, Senior Vice President of the Employment Policy Division at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Glenn leads the Chamber’s work across a broad range of critical employment issues, including immigration, retirement security, traditional labor relations, human trafficking, wage and hour compliance, worker safety, EEOC enforcement, and state labor and employment law. Against a backdrop of new proposed independent contractor (IC) rulemaking, ongoing developments at the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), and continued uncertainty surrounding the EEOC, this webinar will provide practical insights into how evolving federal and state employment policies impact employers. The discussion will explore the Chamber’s current advocacy efforts—particularly its work in submitting comments on the IC rule—and examine significant state-level developments emerging across the country.

Shirin Afsous, Raymond Jackson, and Nicholas SanFilippo will also share a concise update on key regulatory and policy developments coming out of the Beltway, helping in-house legal and HR professionals stay informed and prepared.
