The Environmental and Energy Law Section 2026 Fall Meeting, hosted by the New York State Bar Association, will bring together legal, regulatory, and industry professionals to discuss current developments in environmental and energy law, including recent SEQRA amendments, environmental litigation under New York's Green Amendment, PFAS due diligence considerations, and implementation of the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (CLCPA).
Steven C. Russo, Chair of the Environmental and Energy Law Section, will provide the welcome and introduction and serve as moderator for the panel, "Real World Impacts of Recent SEQRA Amendments," featuring Anthony Luisi, Deputy Commissioner and General Counsel of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation; Jessica Goldstein, Assistant Counsel to the Governor of the State of New York; and Peter Feroe, Senior Vice President, Planning and Land Development at AKRF.
Julia Quigley will serve as a panelist for "Meeting the Evolving Due Diligence Challenge of PFAS and the Forever Chemicals," alongside Dylan Eberle, Senior Geologist at Geosyntec Consultants, and Cristin Wickless, Senior Vice President and Northeast Environmental Leader at Marsh.
