As the clock ticks closer to Election Day and further past the usual date for finalizing ballots, two legal appeals have the potential to solidify Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s control of the Women’s Equality Party.

Greenberg Traurig, which is representing Cuomo’s allies, filed an appeal to the Warren decision Friday. It plans to file a similar appeal in Onondaga by Tuesday, according to shareholder Steven C. Russo.
