Greenberg Traurig Shareholders Daniel J. Ansell, David W. Oppenheim, and David M. Schwartzbaum Listed as 2015 BTI Client Service All-Stars

NEW YORK – March 4, 2015 – International law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP announced that New York shareholders Daniel J. Ansell, David W. Oppenheim, and David M. Schwartzbaum have been recognized by corporate counsel for their superior client service in the BTI Client Service All-Stars 2015 report.

  • Ansell is the national chair of Greenberg Traurig’s Real Estate Operations Practice  and co-chair of the national Real Estate Litigation Practice. He represents both owners and tenants in connection with the use, management, and operation of commercial real estate across the United States. He has successfully represented clients in commercial real estate disputes, major real estate transactions, bankruptcy proceedings, construction and ADA issues, leasing, brokerage disputes, and high stakes state and federal court litigation. Ansell is a frequent speaker at industry events, panel discussions and seminars, as well as a highly regarded resource for media and industry publications.   • Oppenheim is a shareholder in the Franchise & Distribution Practice and concentrates his practice on domestic and international franchising, licensing, and distribution matters. He advises both emerging and mature companies with respect to planning, structuring, and implementing national and international franchise, distribution, and licensing programs. He also represents private equity firms and public and private companies in the acquisition of franchise, licensing, and distribution systems. In addition, he routinely advises clients regarding complex franchise relationship issues and disputes. Oppenheim is a member of the American Bar Association - Forum on Franchising Governing Committee, First Vice Chair of the New York State Bar Association Business Law Section’s Executive Committee, and the Immediate Past Chair of its Franchise Law Committee, and a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and the International Franchise Association. He has been listed in multiple editions of The Best Lawyers in America, Franchise Law Section, and in 2013 was named “Franchise Lawyer of the Year – New York.” Oppenheim is also recognized as a top franchise lawyer in the Chambers USA Guide, the International Who’s Who Legal, and Super Lawyers magazine.
  • Schwartzbaum is co-chair of the firm's Global M&A Steering Committee and a shareholder in the Corporate & Securities Practice. Schwartzbaum focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, including the representation of principals and financial advisors in public and private M&A transactions in a wide range of industries. Schwartzbaum has handled negotiated and unsolicited M&A transactions, cash and stock-for-stock mergers, tender and exchange offers, cross-border transactions, special committee representations, going-private transactions, and takeover defense assignments. He is on the committee on Mergers, Acquisitions and Corporate Control Contests of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and is a member of the American Bar Association. Schwartzbaum is a frequent speaker at industry events, panel discussions, and seminars.
