Ballon, co-chair of the Global Intellectual Property & Technology Practice at Greenberg Traurig, LLP, has been named a “Groundbreaker” by The Recorder in its 2017 Litigation Departments of the Year awards. Winners will be honored at an event at the Hilton San Francisco on Nov.16. View a full list of the recipients.

The Recorder
, a leading legal news publication in California, recognized only four individual litigators, including Ballon, in its “Groundbreaker” category, which highlights the lawyers who won litigation by staking out new arguments and legal theory in the courtroom. The publication emphasized Ballon’s victories in defeating putative class action suits for a number of different clients.

Ballon, who is based in the firm’s Silicon Valley and Los Angeles offices, represents technology, media and entertainment companies in intellectual property, internet and mobile-related complex litigation, including the defense of data privacy, security breach and TCPA class action suits.
