BOSTON – Dec. 11, 2020 – David C. Fixler, of counsel in Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Energy & Natural Resources Practice in the Boston office, has been elected to the 2021 Northeast Energy and Commerce Association’s (NECA) Board of Directors. NECA is a non-profit trade association that serves as a clearinghouse of cutting-edge information for the energy industry. The NECA Board of Directors are leaders in the energy industry and help to advance the association’s mission through new member outreach and engagement, and educational programming on the evolving energy markets, technological innovation, public policies, and climate change.
Fixler is an active member of NECA and serves as co-chair of its Power Markets Committee. His practice focuses on assisting energy companies with navigating the complex regulatory landscape that, together with sweeping technological changes, is changing the manner in which electricity is generated, distributed, sold, managed, stored, and consumed in the United States. Fixler has wide-ranging experience representing developers of renewable and traditional energy facilities in permitting, siting, interconnection, zoning, property tax, and other matters facing regulatory agencies and courts. His multidisciplinary skill set allows him to quickly identify potential legal concerns and design strategies that help address these problems before they arise, helping clients avoid costly disputes in the future.
