Timothy Long and Philip I. Person Publish Employment Law Yearbook 2022

SAN FRANCISCO – April 25, 2022 – Shareholders Timothy Long and Philip I. Person of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP authored Practising Law Institute’s (PLI) Employment Law Yearbook 2022.

The Employment Law Yearbook 2022, an annual PLI publication, “provides a comprehensive overview of U.S. employment law, highlighting significant case law, legislative changes, government agency actions, and other developments of the prior year.” Other topics include wage-and-hour laws and litigation, the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs and related developments, employee privacy law and privacy rights litigation, protection of trade secrets, family, medical, and military leave, and employment discrimination policies.

Long, an employment attorney ranked by Chambers USA and the Labor & Employment Practice leader of Greenberg Traurig’s Sacramento office, is also resident in the Los Angeles office. He has litigated a wide variety of national wage and hour employment matters, including exemption, incentive compensation, independent contractor, off-the-clock, meal and rest, pay practice, and Private Attorneys General Act claims. Long frequently writes and lectures on issues stemming from litigating complex employment matters, including class, collective, and representative actions.

Person, a shareholder in the firm’s San Francisco Labor & Employment Practice and co-lead of Greenberg Traurig’s California Wage & Hour Taskforce, focuses on representing employers in wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour, trade secret misappropriation, non-competition, non-solicitation, and whistleblower claims. He also represents employers in labor and employment arbitrations. Additionally, Person counsels and advises clients on various employment issues and coordinates with executives and management to develop plans to mitigate employer risk. He also co-hosts The Performance Review, a California labor and employment podcast.
