David J. Dykeman to Present on Positioning IP for M&A Success

BOSTON – May 9, 2022 David J. Dykeman, co-managing shareholder of the Boston office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP and co-chair of the firm’s global Life Sciences & Medical Technology Group, will moderate the panel “Positioning IP for M&A Success” at DeviceTalks Boston May 10 at 3 p.m. The event will take place at the Boston Exhibition and Convention Center.

The panel will discuss mergers and acquisitions (M&A) trends, business advantages of a strategic intellectual property (IP) portfolio, and IP due diligence. Dykeman will be joined by panelists Jeff Mann, senior vice president, general counsel, and head of business development at embecata, and Jeremy Sohn, managing partner, Private Healthcare Ventures at Magnetar Capital.

Dykeman is a registered patent attorney with 25 years of experience in patent and IP law. His practice focuses on securing worldwide IP protection and related business strategies for high tech clients, with particular experience in medical devices, life sciences, robotics, materials, and information technology. An author of over 55 articles and a speaker at over 50 conferences, Dykeman is the founding co-chair of the American Bar Association (ABA)’s Medical Devices Committee.
