CHICAGO – Dec. 8, 2022 – Michael J. Baum and Gregory E. Ostfeld, shareholders in global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Chicago office, were named 2022 Notable Gen X Leaders in Law by Crain’s Chicago Business.
According to Crain’s, the 2022 Notable Gen X Leaders in Accounting, Consulting, and Law list is made up of more than 100 of the top practitioners in Chicago who were born between 1965 and 1980, currently serve in a senior-level role, and have made significant contributions to advancing industry.
Baum is co-chair of Greenberg Traurig’s Global Real Estate Practice. He serves as an adviser to a wide variety of institutional and entrepreneurial investors, private equity funds, developers, asset managers, and operators. His international practice includes the formation of real estate opportunity funds, joint ventures, acquisitions, developments, financings, leasing, and dispositions of multifamily, industrial, office, retail, and resort properties. He also represents both financial institutions and borrowers in connection with construction, mezzanine, and general secured real estate financings.
Ostfeld is vice chair of the firm’s Pharmaceutical, Medical Device & Health Care Litigation Practice and co-chair of the Chicago Litigation Practice. For more than two decades, he has focused on representing clients in regulated industries with a focus on pharmaceutical and medical device companies, the financial services sector, and the consumer products sector. Ostfeld focuses his litigation and appellate practice on class actions, products liability, and other high-stakes litigation, combining innovative strategies with a deep understanding and appreciation of his clients’ business goals and objectives to deliver superior outcomes.
