Laura Hammargren Joins Minnesota Women Lawyers Board of Directors; Receives Service Award

MINNEAPOLIS – May 13, 2025 – Laura Hammargren, a shareholder with global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, has joined the Minnesota Women Lawyers (MWL) board of directors for an initial two-year term. In recognition of her contributions to the organization, she was honored with the 2025 Service to MWL Award at the 53rd Annual Meeting on May 9. This annual award is part of MWL’s Celebrating Success initiative, which recognizes the achievements of women attorneys.

MWL is a nonprofit association of more than 1,200 attorneys, judges, law students, legal employers, and supporters, who are dedicated to advancing the success of women attorneys and striving for a just society. 

Hammargren is the administrative shareholder of the firm’s Minneapolis office. She focuses her national litigation practice on class action defense, particularly in areas such as manufacturing and emerging contaminant issues, consumer fraud, product liability, and the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA). She enhances her experience in these complex litigation matters with her robust background in related government enforcement and internal investigations, including Department of Justice (DOJ) False Claims Act issues and Department of Labor (DOL) investigations. Having previously served for several years as in-house counsel for a Fortune 500 multinational manufacturer, she has insight in creating business-focused litigation strategies that speak to the multifaceted needs of corporate strategy to mitigate against exposure in high stakes matters.
