The Gammons program has assisted 350 scholars boasting a 99% college graduation rate. The foundation also hosts Hot Stove Cool Music, blending baseball and music, featuring stars such as Eddie Vedder and Yo-Yo Ma.
“This special event was our way of expressing gratitude and appreciation to our loyal clients and community partners,” David J. Dykeman and Terence P. McCourt, co-managing shareholders of Greenberg Traurig’s Boston office, said in a joint statement. “We’re honored Peter and Allyce joined us for a memorable evening to highlight such an important charitable organization.”
FTBNL launched the Gammons Scholarship in 2010 to support the next generation of emerging leaders. Nonprofit partners nominate young people from their programs who have overcome tremendous challenges, demonstrated a commitment to community service, and who have high financial needs. The scholars attend leadership training and team-building events with their mentors, who forge life-changing bonds with their scholars and assist them with everything from internships and jobs to personal support and advice.
FTBNL channels its communities' shared passion for music, baseball, and service to create opportunities and possibilities for young people and families in Boston and Chicago.
