Greenberg Traurig Hosts HealthTech Build Workshop, ‘Fortify Your Fundraising: Alternative Paths to Capital’ in Boston Office

BOSTON – Oct. 21, 2025 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP hosted HealthTech Build’s program, “Fortify Your Fundraising: Alternative Paths to Capital,” Oct. 8 in the firm’s Boston office. This panel and workshop brought together health and life science company founders and innovators looking to raise capital in today's environment.

Andrew (A.J.) Tibbetts, a shareholder in Greenberg Traurig’s Intellectual Property & Technology Group and a HealthTech Build board director, moderated a panel about resilient strategies to navigate the current environment and explore novel strategies to raising capital. He was joined by Thomas Busby, partner, Mirus Capital Advisors; Nina Kandilian, senior vice president, healthcare & life science at Silicon Valley Bank; Stacy Swider, vice president, investments at MassVentures; and Tatiana Yglesias, director, VNTR Boston chapter. Following the panel discussion, workshop participants had an opportunity for in-depth discussion and questions in an interactive breakout session.

Tibbetts leverages prior experience as a software engineer to provide business-oriented intellectual property strategies for software, artificial intelligence, and electronics-based technologies. He counsels on matters related to software-implemented tech across a range of industries, from networking, fintech, and natural language processing to life sciences, AI, medical records, and medical devices. Tibbetts advises a wide array of clients, ranging from international and publicly traded companies and large research institutions to small and growing companies. He serves on the board of directors of MassMEDIC and HealthTech Build, helping to support digital health efforts in the New England area.
