Greenberg Traurig’s Jonathan M. Perry Honored with UNCF M.A.S.K.E.D. Award

ORLANDO, Fla. – Feb. 24, 2026 – Jonathan M. Perry, co-managing shareholder of the Orlando office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A., has been named a recipient of the 2026 UNCF M.A.S.K.E.D. Award. He was recognized during the UNCF 2nd Annual Mayors’ Masked Ball.

According to the UNCF, the M.A.S.K.E.D. Award, which stands for Mankind Assisting Students Kindling Educational Dreams, recognizes individuals who demonstrate a steadfast commitment to education by empowering students in the Orlando community. The award honors those who embody the UNCF motto, “A mind is a terrible thing to waste, but a wonderful thing to invest in.” Perry, who has served on the UNCF Leadership Council since 2009 and chaired the council from 2011 to 2016, was honored for his long‑standing support of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and his efforts to help students access critical resources for higher education and career success.

“I am deeply honored to receive this recognition from UNCF,” Perry said. “Having witnessed the transformative impact that access to education has on young people, I believe it is our collective responsibility to invest in their dreams. Supporting UNCF and the vital work they do is one of the most meaningful ways we can open doors and create lasting change. I am grateful to work alongside so many dedicated individuals who share this commitment, and I look forward to continuing our efforts to empower the next generation of leaders.”

The Mayors’ Masked Ball is a signature UNCF fundraising event that celebrates community leaders and raises essential funds for scholarships and educational programs. In addition to its historic partnership with HBCUs, UNCF supports students attending all accredited colleges and universities, ensuring scholarships follow the student and help remove financial barriers. Last year alone, UNCF awarded more than $379,522 in scholarships to students from Orlando and surrounding communities, helping them pursue higher education at a wide range of Florida‑based and national institutions. With continued support from the Orlando community, UNCF advances its mission to equip students with the resources needed to excel and build brighter futures.

“Together, we are removing barriers, opening doors and building clear pathways that help students thrive at every stage of their journey, from aspiration to achievement,” said Gwen Hewitt, UNCF’s area development director, in a statement released by the organization.
