How Greenberg Traurig Turned a Stadium-Finance Foothold Into a Broader Sports Law Practice

Co-Chairs of the Sports Business Industry Group Denis Braham and Franklin D.R. Jones Jr. were quoted in a Sports Business Journal article highlighting Greenberg Traurig's nationally recognized sports law practice and its growth from sports infrastructure work into a full-service platform serving clients across the sports industry.

Jones reflected on the firm's origins, noting, "We didn't necessarily start building a sports group, we really started building sports infrastructure. We started to build out our real estate group, construction expertise and the public finance group. It was all the elements we needed to do the kind of transactions we were trying to get engaged on.”

Braham highlighted the firm's strategic approach to growth, stating, "We've been very thoughtful and intentional in hiring people that have that industry knowledge and are at the top of their game as lawyers.”
