PHILADELPHIA – Aug. 14, 2026 – Najah Jacobs, an associate in the Litigation Practice of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Philadelphia office, has been named the recipient of the Philadelphia Business Journal’s 2026 “Amber Racine Award” as part of its annual Women of Influence program.
According to the Philadelphia Business Journal,the Amber Racine Award is presented to “a local attorney who most embodies the legacy of” Racine, its late namesake. The honor is awarded to a Philadelphia-region lawyer under the age of 40 who, like Racine, has demonstrated “not only a commitment to professional excellence but also a passion for service to the profession and community, mentorship, leadership, integrity” and uplifting young lawyers over the course of their career.
The recognition carries special significance for Jacobs, who was personally mentored by Racine.
Before her sudden passing in November 2020, Racine, a plaintiffs’ personal injury lawyer at Raynes Lawn Hehmeyer, was a prominent figure in the Philadelphia legal landscape. In addition to serving as chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Board of Governors, a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s House of Delegates, and a board member for Community Legal Services and the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, Racine was appointed to the Judicial Advisory Committee by then-Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf in 2018. She is remembered for her contributions to both the legal industry and community, as well as her leadership and dedication to mentorship.
In addition to her legal practice, Jacobs is deeply committed to expanding educational opportunities for children and families in underserved communities through her nonprofit and volunteer work. She has dedicated significant time to initiatives focused on educational equity, community engagement, and creating pathways to opportunity for future generations.
Jacobs will be honored alongside the Philadelphia Business Journal’s 2026 Women of Influence honorees and Rising Stars at an awards event Oct. 15 and will be featured in a special edition of the publication Oct. 16.
