Danielle Abramson, Ph.D. has spent over two decades supporting life sciences and medical device companies with various aspects to protect their intellectual property rights, with a primary focus on patent portfolio strategy and seeking to ensure the protection of new innovations. Danielle also has deep experience in performing freedom to operate and patentability analyses, and well as investor-side and company-side due diligences.

Danielle has experience as both in-house and outside counsel, allowing for strategic alignment between internal needs and external advice. She has demonstrated ability managing both the business-focused strategic aspects and the detailed technical execution of patent strategy.

After working in private practice from 2002-2015, Danielle joined a publicly traded life sciences company as the Head of Intellectual Property where she spent the next eight years engaging with board and executive stakeholders as a trusted thought partner driving R&D and commercialization strategy for small molecules and drug formulations. From 2023-2025 Danielle served as the Global Head of Intellectual Property Strategy and Branding for a publicly traded medical device company where she developed and implemented the patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret strategy.

Prior to obtaining her patent agent certification, Danielle received her Ph.D. from Brown University in Medical Sciences. Danielle’s Ph.D. thesis was directed to developing an oral drug delivery system to deliver and release insulin for treating diabetes. Danielle also has a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Binghamton University.
