Megan Casturo focuses her practice on matters related to employee benefits and executive compensation. Megan regularly advises clients on executive compensation and employee benefits matters that arise in connection with mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, joint ventures, and other strategic transactions, including advising clients on the design and implementation of management equity and cash-based incentive programs and the negotiation of executive employment, separation, retention, and change in control agreements.
Additionally, Megan advises clients on the requirements of the Internal Revenue Code, ERISA, PPACA, COBRA, and HIPAA as they apply to retirement plans, deferred compensation arrangements, and health and welfare plans. Megan guides clients on fiduciary responsibilities, participant disclosures, and correction procedures used to preserve the tax qualified status of retirement plans. Her work is grounded in a dedicated tax and benefits background, including an LL.M. in taxation with a certificate in employee benefits from Georgetown University Law Center.
Megan was recognized in the 2026 and 2027 editions of Best Lawyers in America “Ones to Watch” for Employee Benefits (ERISA) Law. In 2025, she was named to the Capital Pro Bono Honor Roll for donating 50 hours or more of pro bono service during the calendar year.
