William Doodokyan represents clients in complex litigation matters, focusing on high-stakes commercial litigation, securities enforcement actions, and corporate governance disputes. He handles cases involving breach of contract, fraud, tortious interference, and fiduciary duty allegations, with particular experience in real estate litigation.

William represents property owners, developers, and management companies in a wide range of real property disputes. In his securities practice, William defends clients against enforcement actions brought by the Securities and Exchange Commission, including allegations of violations of antifraud provisions under Section 10(b) and 17(a) of the Securities Act. He also represents corporate directors and officers in corporate governance matters involving alleged breaches of fiduciary duties, corporate waste, and minority shareholder oppression.

William regularly appears in court and participates in alternative dispute resolution proceedings, including mediations and settlement conferences. He counsels clients throughout all stages of litigation, from pre-litigation assessment through discovery, motion practice, mediation, arbitration, and trial.

Experience

  • Represented a client in the settlement of a civil enforcement action brought by the Securities and Exchange Commission, alleging violations of the antifraud provisions of Section 10(b) and 17(a) of the Securities Act.°
  • Assisted in the defense of several corporate directors and officers in a three-week trial resulting in no damages and no removal of directors or officers for alleged breaches of fiduciary duties and other related claims.°
  • Assisted in the representation of a large property development company in defending various breach of contract, tortious interference, and antitrust claims, alleging damages in excess of $150 million against a multinational private equity real estate subsidiary.°
