Karen Geringer is a Shareholder in the Real Estate Practice of Greenberg Traurig’s New York office. She represents owners, developers, investors and institutions in a range of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, preferred equity investments and financings for a variety of commercial real estate assets, including office buildings, industrial properties, hotels and multifamily developments.

Experience
- Representation of developer in its $935 million acquisition and financing of an office building in Manhattan, and $110 million preferred equity investment and subordinate financing convertible into common equity by a syndicate of equity partners.
- Representation of purchaser in the acquisition of REIT shares and partnership interests in the owner of seven retail condominium units in Brooklyn.
- Representation of equity investor in a joint venture investment in a portfolio of Manhattan multifamily buildings.
- Representation of developer in a $300 million mezzanine loan and joint venture transaction with respect to three mixed-use properties in Manhattan.
- Representation of developer in mortgage and mezzanine financing of landmarked Manhattan hotel and residential condominium property.
- Representation of a fund in the construction financing and joint venture for development of single-family rental properties located in North Carolina and South Carolina.
