Conor Hume is a senior associate in the Entertainment, Media, & Sports Practice. He is a senior commercial lawyer who has a wide range of experience advising on some of the most complex transactions in the sports market. His practice includes advising leading sports rights-holders, clubs, governing bodies, brands and commercial partners on a broad range of high-value commercial, media and regulatory matters across the sports sector. His experience to date spans the full spectrum of sports commercial work, including sponsorship, media rights, hospitality, licensing, consumer law and strategic commercial transactions, enabling clients to maximise the value of their rights while navigating increasingly complex commercial and regulatory landscapes.

His notable experience includes advising a number of Premier League football clubs on their sponsorship rights portfolios, including kit partner arrangements as well as front of shirt, sleeve, stadium and training ground partnerships. In addition, he has also worked with major rights holders in the world of rugby on the exploitation of their media rights. In recent years, a large part of Conor’s practice has involved advising rightsholders on hospitality and ticketing arrangements for live events, including acting for the world’s leading sports international governing body on the appointment of the Official Hospitality Provider for a major international sporting event – described at the time as the ‘biggest commercial contract in sports’. He also advises businesses on broader commercial and technology matters, including e-commerce, influencer marketing campaigns and regulatory compliance.
