Young Jo Lim advises companies on intellectual property strategy, litigation, and dispute resolution, with a focus on trademarks and designs. He works with businesses in the electronics sector and brings more than 35 years of in-house leadership managing IP programs. Young Jo helps corporate teams plan, enforce, and defend IP rights, manage portfolios, and coordinate outside counsel.
Young Jo handles IP litigation and disputes, including matters before the U.S. International Trade Commission. He directs case strategy, selects and manages outside counsel, and negotiates resolutions. He has implemented measures that reduced litigation costs and streamlined litigation operations.
Young Jo advises on trademark and design rights, from portfolio oversight to enforcement and related litigation. He also drafts and reviews IP and commercial contracts and develops strategic IP plans that align with business needs.
Young Jo is licensed in New York. He has led teams that handled more than 45 IP litigation matters, reduced legal spend, and secured wins in ITC proceedings. Since 2018, he has served as Vice Chairman of the Korea Trademark & Design Association.
