Janus Pan advises health care providers on transactional, regulatory, and government investigations matters. She has advised providers in the long-term care space on mergers and acquisitions, and on issues of Medicare, Medicaid, and other government program reimbursement. Janus also counsels providers facing health care licensure and other regulatory concerns.

Experience

  • Led M&A transactions for hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and long-term care facilities such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and memory care facilities.°
  • Advised various health care providers such as doctors, optometrists, and nursing homes in Civil Investigative Demands regarding Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement and False Claims Act liability.°
  • Successfully appealed and retained COVID-19 relief payments from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for an orthopedic practice.°
  • Advised various health care providers on state and federal law governing fraud and abuse, corporate practice of medicine, and licensure.°
  • Negotiated vendor contracts on behalf of a national home health and hospice company.°
