Sarah Rosenbaum is a music attorney with transactional and public policy experience across a broad range of digital music clients, from startup streaming services to the world’s largest media companies.

Sarah has expertise in the complexities of licensing music publishing rights for digital uses, including for on-demand music streaming services, user-generated content sites, and television and film productions, and across a range of licensors, including major publishers and collection societies.

Sarah has niche expertise in U.S. statutory music licenses and has supported streaming services of all sizes with statutory licensing and compliance programs, including advising on internal data and reporting practices, advocating in front of regulatory bodies and trade organizations, and lending subject matter expertise and strategic support to Copyright Royalty board proceedings, settlements, and appeals.

Sarah served as an on-going subject matter expert and advocate in connection with Congressional outreach and U.S. Copyright Office rulemakings related to the Music Modernization Act. She also served as one of the inaugural Board members of DLC Inc., an entity created by the Music Modernization Act to represent the interests of digital music services.

Sarah has broad-reaching, collaborative relationships across the music industry. She is thoughtful and open-minded in negotiations and has been able to create consensus around key agenda items in the context of cross-industry trade organizations and joint defense groups. 

Sarah is passionate about fostering improvements to music rights administration and metadata practices, with the goal of continual improvements to transparency and accuracy in music licensing.

Sarah is based in Los Angeles and works with the Atlanta-based music team at Greenberg Traurig.
