Brittany Royce is an experienced litigator who focuses her practice on representing employers in a wide range of workforce-related matters. Brittany’s practice covers a cross-section of labor and employment litigation and white collar defense and investigations. She regularly advises and defends health care companies and financial institutions in a wide variety of disputes before government agencies and in state and federal courts nationwide.
Brittany also has deep experience representing individual defendants in high-profile matters, including a former banker involved in the “Tuna Bonds Scandal” and charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud, securities fraud, violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and money laundering, a parent charged in the “Varsity Blues” college admissions federal prosecution, and a global asset manager in an SEC enforcement action related to hedge fund underperformance during the COVID-19 market downturn.

- Represented a major home health care company in an ongoing DOJ investigation concerning the company’s diagnostic coding practices and potential violations of the False Claims Act.°
- Represented a global investment adviser in an SEC enforcement investigation concerning the use of electronic communications and compliance with Rule 204-2 of the Investment Advisors Act— i.e. the “Recordkeeping” Rule.°
- Represented an individual who pleaded guilty to a money laundering conspiracy in connection with a major corruption case involving Mozambique, where officials allegedly took bribes to secure large loans for a fraudulent maritime project, leading to significant financial losses for the country.°
- Represented an individual defendant in the “Varsity Blues” college admissions federal prosecution.°
- Represented a leading multinational bank in Middle East in tort-based lawsuits, securing numerous full dismissals in various federal courts.°
- Represented a global bank and more than 40 of its current and former directors and officers in a stockholder derivative action alleging foreign-law breach of fiduciary duty and related secondary liability claims.°
- Represented a former banker charged in the United States with conspiracy to commit wire fraud, conspiracy to commit securities fraud, conspiracy to violate the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), and conspiracy to commit money laundering in connection with an alleged fraud against the government of Mozambique.°
- Represented a global asset manager in connection with a major SEC enforcement action related to the underperformance, and eventual liquidation of, several large hedge funds that underperformed significantly during the COVID-19 market downturn.°
- Represented a parent in the “Varsity Blues” college admissions prosecution.°
- Served as pool counsel for employees of a multinational financial institution related to a FINRA investigation into the use of personal devices for business purposes.°
- Advised a company in fast-moving internal investigation regarding accounting irregularities and represented company in connection with SEC inquiry, securing termination of the matter.°
- Represented a former private equity firm executive in parallel criminal and civil securities fraud proceedings by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York and SEC.°
