Dmitriy A. Tartakovskiy focuses his practice on corporate and securities law, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions. Dmitriy represents public and private corporate clients, private equity firms and investment banks in complex domestic and cross-border transactions in a wide range of industries. His practice includes public and private mergers, stock and asset purchases, divestitures, spin-offs, joint ventures, minority investments, equity financings and restructurings. He also advises clients on corporate governance, securities and general corporate law matters.



  • Represented a portfolio company of a major private equity firm in a merger that created the largest pure-play IT services provider serving the U.S. government sector.°
  • Represented a multinational corporation in the sale of its custom sensors and technologies division, based on an enterprise value of $900 million, and its reinvestment of approximately $100 million.°
  • Represented a major U.S. telecommunications company in connection with a $612 million acquisition of a public company.°
  • Represented a U.S.-based investment firm in connection with a $7.15 billion acquisition by an investment consortium of certain oil and gas exploration and production assets. This transaction was named “Private Equity Deal of the Year” by International Financial Law Review.°
  • Represented an aircraft leasing company in its $228 million acquisition of a privately held MRO service provider.°
  • Represented a multinational corporation in the acquisition of a leader in outsourced energy procurement and sustainability services to industrial, commercial and institutional enterprises.°
  • Represented a major private equity firm in its $1 billion acquisition of a 51% ownership stake in an electrical and metal products business.°
  • Represented a public U.S. company in its $4.9 billion cash-and-stock merger with another public company.°
  • Represented a major private equity firm in connection with its $600 million investment in a joint venture to create a U.S.-based aircraft lessor.°
