Viktoriia Tolochko’s main areas of practice are international arbitration, both commercial and investment arbitration, and cross-border litigation. Viktoriia has experience in proceedings conducted on the basis of the rules of LCIA, SCC, UNCITRAL, GAFTA, FOSFA, LMAA and ICAC at the UCCI. She has been involved in a number of cross-border litigation proceedings, representing clients in Ukrainian courts at all levels.

  • Representing a client operating in the luxury hospitality industry against multiple European state-owned entities in complex multi-contract LCIA arbitrations arising from high-profile landmark hotels.
  • Representing a major construction company in relation to various confidential disputes.
  • Represented Respondent in a USD4.6 billion investment treaty arbitration under the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules arising out of alleged investments into a major Ukrainian aerospace company.°
  • Represented Respondent in a USD3.2 billion investment treaty arbitration under the SCC Arbitration Rules arising out of alleged investments into a major Ukrainian bank.°
  • Represented the client in a USD20 million LCIA arbitration in a large multijurisdictional shareholders’ dispute with parallel court proceedings in Panama, Cyprus, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Belize and the UK.°
  • Represented a large agricultural company in London arbitration under the LMAA Rules in the dispute against a shipowner.°
  • Represented a large Lithuanian agricultural trader in a dispute with a Swiss trading company in GAFTA arbitration.
  • Represented the client in GAFTA arbitration in the dispute with a Swiss trading company.°
  • Representing a UK-based major commercial bank on cross-border debt recovery in the bankruptcy proceedings of a major Ukrainian industrial corporation.°
  • Representing a Slovenian state-owned financial institution in enforcing loan repayment against two Ukrainian construction companies.°
  • Represented one of the Ukrainian subsidiaries of a multinational electric utility company in a dispute with the Ukrainian tax authorities.°
  • Represented a large international group specialised in optimising mature oil and gas field operations in a complex litigation related to an employee’s alcohol intoxication at work.°
  • Represented the honored coach of Ukraine in dispute with Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine.°
