Greenberg Traurig Represented Animex in the Sale of part of its Goose Processing Business to Cedrob

WARSAW – 30 May 2025 – Greenberg Traurig represented ANIMEX FOODS and AGRI PLUS in the sale of part of their goose processing business to Cedrob S.A. 
 
The transaction involving Animex, a leading Polish meat producer belonging to the European Morliny Foods group, is part of the group's plan to specialize its production facilities and focus on areas of key strategic importance.

Animex Foods is the largest meat company in Poland, specializing in the production of pork, poultry and meat products. The company operates 10 meat processing plants across Poland. Its best-known brands include Krakus, Morliny, and Berlinki. Since 1999, Animex has been part of the U.S.-based Smithfield Foods, and since 2013, together with Smithfield, has belonged to the global WH Group—the world’s largest pork producer.
 
Cedrob S.A. is the largest Polish producer of poultry meat, chicks, and animal feed. The Cedrob Group also includes subsidiaries such as Gobarto S.A. (focused on pork and game meat production) and Zakłady Mięsne Silesia S.A. (engaged in the processing of red and poultry meat), making it one of the leading players in the Polish meat sector.
