The FNREL special institute on Siting Renewable Energy Projects and Transmission Infrastructure will be an engaging two-day institute dedicated to the practical legal and regulatory aspects of siting and developing wind and solar projects and transmission infrastructure. This event will also cover critical aspects of project planning, from securing site control and conducting due diligence to navigating the intricacies of complex permitting processes and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) regulations.
Greenberg Traurig Shareholder Courtney M. Shephard is the Co-chair of the event and will deliver the opening remarks on Thursday, May 29, from 8:30–8:45 a.m. MT. Additionally, GT Shareholder Andy Spielman, will present "Developing Linear Multijurisdictional Transmission Projects " on Friday, May 30, from 8:40–3:40 a.m. MT., covering practical and legal considerations for planning large-scale transmission projects.
