G2E

Greenberg Traurig's Gaming Group will be attending the Global Gaming Expo (G2E), the premier annual gathering of the commercial gaming industry, bringing together operators, suppliers, regulators, and advisors from around the world. This year's event takes place in Las Vegas and serves as the industry's leading forum for business development, education, and networking.

Ed Winkofsky, Shareholder and Chair of GT's Gaming Group, will moderate the opening panel of the International Association of Gaming Advisors' (IAGA) Best Practices Institute on September 28. The panel, titled "Regulatory Priorities and Enforcement Trends in Gambling and Sports Betting," will explore key regulatory and enforcement trends shaping the gaming and sports betting industries, including player protection, advertising and promotional practices in sports betting, and the growing challenge of illegal and unregulated gambling. The discussion will also address what licensed operators can expect from regulators in the months and years ahead.

Omar Hegazy, Of Counsel in GT's Dubai office, will speak on September 29 on a panel dedicated to UAE Gaming Developments. The United Arab Emirates is undergoing one of the most consequential regulatory transformations in recent gaming history, and this panel will provide attendees with a clear-eyed understanding of the current regulatory structure, licensing landscape, and the legal and operational realities of doing business in a nascent but capital-rich Gulf jurisdiction. For operators, suppliers, and investors, the business case is urgent - early market participants are already establishing relationships and infrastructure, and the window for meaningful market positioning is narrowing.
