Mian Wang Selected as Emerging Women Leaders in the Law Honoree

BOSTON – July 13, 2021 Mian R. Wang, a Litigation Practice shareholder in the Boston office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, has been selected as an “Emerging Women Leaders in the Law” honoree by the Women’s Bar Association of Massachusetts (WBA). The award recognizes women attorneys who have demonstrated professional excellence or had a significant professional achievement in approximately their first 12 years in the legal profession, and either promote the status of women in the legal profession or contribute meaningfully to the equal participation of women in a just society. Wang will be honored for this recognition at the WBA’s Annual Gala on Oct. 25.

Actively involved in the legal and business community, Wang is an incoming member of the steering committee of the business and commercial litigation section of the Boston Bar Association and a member of the American Bar Association’s women business and commercial advocates subcommittee of the business and corporate litigation committee. She was selected into the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association’s Leadership Advancement Program for 2020-21, of which she is one of only 12 private practicing lawyers chosen from across the United States.  In 2020, Wang was named among the “40 Under 40” by the Boston Business Journal and selected as an “Up & Coming Lawyer” by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly.

Wang focuses her practice on high-stakes business litigation. She represents public and private companies, financial institutions, directors, officers, and individuals before state and federal courts in commercial and bankruptcy litigation. She has broad experience handling matters related to breach of contract, fraud, breach of fiduciary duties, preference claims, UCC secured transactions, negligence, wire fraud, and unfair and deceptive trade practices disputes. Wang’s practice covers multiple disciplines and industries, including education, health care, event management, start-up firms, financial institutions, and commercial finance and asset management firms.
