WASHINGTON, D.C. – Feb. 7, 2022 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has added five lawyers in the Washington, D.C. area to start the year, signifying its continued investment in the region. These hires follow a strong year of growth for Greenberg Traurig in 2021, where the firm added 33 new lawyers in its Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia offices.
The additions include Intellectual Property (IP) & Technology Shareholder Harry Hyunho Park, Real Estate Shareholder Elizabeth Dominguez Yaeger, Tax Of Counsel DeAndré R. Morrow, Corporate Of Counsel Valery K. Slosman, and Intellectual Property & Technology Of Counsel Philip J. Hoffmann.

Harry Hyunho Park (Washington, D.C.): Park joins from BakerHostetler as an IP litigator with a strong technical background, including a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and an M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering. He advises clients in complex IP litigation matters and brings significant experience in litigating patent infringement cases in U.S. federal district courts and Section 337 investigations before the U.S. International Trade Commission.
Elizabeth Dominguez Yaeger (Washington, D.C.): Yaeger joins from Katten Muchin Rosenman and brings more than a decade of experience counseling clients on a range of real estate issues, including assisting with the acquisition, disposition, development, financing and leasing of commercial properties, mixed-use, and multifamily housing throughout the United States. She also has extensive experience representing clients on tax-exempt and taxable bond financing and the tax credit syndications of Low Income Housing Tax Credits. Her real estate practice also covers transactional work for hotels and resorts, having represented one of the largest vacation ownership companies in the world and participating in an initial public offering of more than 17 million shares of common stock.
DeAndré R. Morrow (Washington, D.C.): Morrow joins from Reed Smith as a State & Local Tax attorney with a particular focus on state and local tax issues in the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia region. As a former tax attorney for the Revenue Administration Division of the Comptroller of Maryland, he brings exceptional experience to clients who have complex and sensitive tax disputes. Morrow represents clients before state and local tax agencies at the audit, collection, appeals, and litigation stages.
Valery K. Slosman (Northern Virginia): Slosman has more than a decade of experience advising clients on mergers and acquisitions transactions, corporate formation, and corporate governance, with a focus in the government contracting space.
Philip J. Hoffmann (Washington, D.C.): Hoffmann brings more than 20 years of experience representing clients in IP matters, with an emphasis on Patent Trial and Appeal Board proceeding, patent prosecution and IP counseling. He was an administrative patent judge at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for more than eight years where he authored more than 600 opinions for the Board and gained familiarity with America Invents Act procedures and handled cases involving a range of technologies, including mechanical, electrical, business methods, design, financial technology (fintech), and software. Prior to practicing law, Hoffmann was a patent examiner with the USPTO. He also has experience as an astronautics engineer, exposing him to all stages of the patent life cycle including inventing, preparing, filing, prosecuting, deciding, and judging.
