The webinar will focus on an emerging trend from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) in the EB-5 Immigrant Investor category. It will address the re-examination of the lawful source of funds from the I-526 Petition at the I-829 Petition stage; strategies for responding to USCIS notices applying incorrect legal standards in the I-829 Petition; and the removal defense litigation following an improper I-829 Petition denial.
Hermansky, who is based in Greenberg Traurig’s Philadelphia office, focuses her immigration practice on employment-based immigration and EB-5 matters. She has experience serving health care, pharmaceutical, and real estate industries as well as entrepreneurs, scientists, and researchers in scientific communities for a wide range of temporary visa options and permanent residence solutions.
Kalmykov focuses her practice on business immigration and compliance. She represents clients in a wide range of employment-based immigrant and non-immigrant visa matters including students, trainees, professionals, managers and executives, artists and entertainers, treaty investors and traders, persons of extraordinary ability, and immigrant investors. Kalmykov currently leads the Immigration & Compliance Practice in the firm’s New York, New Jersey, and Philadelphia offices. She works with clients of all sizes in understanding and complying with immigration laws relating to the hiring and retention of foreign talent. Kalmykov’s practice focuses on supporting clients and advising them on temporary and permanent residency immigration options for multinational executive, business, scientific, and information technology personnel.
