Greenberg Traurig Atlanta Selected as Daily Report 2022 ‘Georgia Legal Awards’ Honorees in Multiple Categories

Office is Recognized With Honors in ‘Diversity Initiative,’ ‘Distinguished Leader,’ ‘On the Rise’ and Named Finalist for ‘Law Firm of the Year’

ATLANTA – May 12, 2022 – The Atlanta office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP was selected by The American Lawyer’s Daily Report as 2022 Georgia Legal Award Honorees in multiple categories. Theodore I. Blum, managing shareholder of the firm’s Atlanta office, and Alana C. Kirkland, an Atlanta associate in the firm’s Entertainment & Media Practice, were recognized with individual awards. The office was honored in the category of “Diversity Initiative” and also named a finalist in the” Law Firm of the Year” category, which will be announced during the publication’s June 23 awards reception.

Blum was named a “Distinguished Leader,” which recognizes lawyers who achieved impressive results in 2021 and demonstrated clear leadership skills that helped them achieve those results. In addition to his role as managing shareholder of the Atlanta office, Blum also serves as chair of the Atlanta Corporate Practice. He leads and advises a team with the strategic business, legal, and market experience needed to manage and close complex transactions, as well as to provide counsel on day-to-day operations. Blum concentrates his practice on corporate and business law, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, and corporate finance. 

Kirkland was named an “On the Rise” attorney, an accolade recognizing Georgia’s most promising lawyers under the age of 40. Kirkland focuses her practice on complex entertainment, media, technology, and intellectual property transactions with an emphasis on digital media distribution/media services and the licensing of music, videos, and other entertainment content. 

The Atlanta office was further recognized with the inaugural “Diversity Initiative” award, given to firms that have embraced diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
