Seth Entin Presents at NYU's 81st Institute on Federal Taxation in New York City and San Diego

MIAMI – Nov. 16, 2022 – Seth J. Entin, a Tax Practice shareholder at global law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A., presented twice at New York University (NYU)’s 81st Institute on Federal Taxation on the topic of taxation of foreign persons engaged in business in the United States.

The NYU Institute on Federal Taxation brings together the country’s leading tax professionals in finance, law, and government to update tax practitioners from around the country on new practices and trends. This year, the institute took place in New York City from Oct. 23 to 28 and in San Diego from Nov. 13 to 18.

Entin’s presentation, “Engaging in a U.S. Trade or Business – What Does It Mean and When Does a Foreign Person Cross the Line?” examined the factors and conditions tax advisors need to consider when determining whether a foreign person is subject to tax and reporting as a result of being engaged in a U.S. trade or business. He shared his insights with conference attendees at the institute events in New York and San Diego.

Based in the firm’s Miami office, Entin concentrates his practice on the international taxation of high-net-worth individuals and families, international corporate taxation, Internal Revenue Service (IRS) international tax audits, and IRS voluntary disclosures. With more than 25 years of experience, he also has been recognized by Chambers USA – America’s leading business lawyers guide – since 2007 and currently is ranked in Band 1 for tax law in Florida.
