CHICAGO – June 12, 2023 – LaQuenta C. Rudison, an associate in global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’sCorporate Practice in Chicago, has been selected as a 2023 Cook County Bar Association (CCBA) Next Generation Awardee. The CCBA Next Generation Awards recognize the next generation of powerhouse Black attorneys who have practiced for at least five years and are 40 years old or younger, or those attorneys who are over 40 years of age but have practiced law for fewer than 10 years. Rudison will receive the award during the Next Generation Awards Breakfast June 17 as part of the CCBA’s Future Is Us Leadership Conference.
For over 100 years, the CCBA has supported the civil, political, and economic rights of the Black community and its members.
Rudison focuses her practice on mergers and acquisitions and general corporate matters. She advises private companies on various transactional matters, including domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions and reorganizations. Rudison also has an active pro bono practice where she advises nonprofit organizations in the areas of corporate formation, eligibility and application for tax exemption under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3), and related state law compliance.
