Michael R. Hogue focuses his practice on construction law, business and financial services litigation, and bankruptcy restructuring and reorganization. Michael also advises clients regarding various copyright, trademark and trade secret matters.
In his construction practice, Michael represents both owners and contractors through the various stages in developing commercial and residential projects throughout the country from initial design stages through the completion of construction. He has represented large commercial owners and developers in contract and construction defect litigation in both state and federal court.
Michael’s business and financial services practice includes representations in state and federal court. He represents lenders and loan servicers on breach of contract, FDCPA, RESPA, TILA, deficiency actions and title disputes. Michael also represents plaintiffs and defendants in several areas of litigation, including breach of contract, fraud, unjust enrichment, defamation, copyright and trademark infringement, and misappropriation of trade secrets. He assists clients in pre-litigation counseling, electronic discovery, as well as trying cases before judges and juries in both state and federal court.
Additionally, Michael represents creditors, particularly lenders and loan servicers, in bankruptcy proceedings under Chapters 7, 11, and 13, focusing on bankruptcy litigation throughout Nevada, Arizona, California, and Washington. He also advises debtors with regard to various restructuring efforts ranging from pre-bankruptcy workouts to Chapter 11 petitions and plans.
