Cinzia Merlo represents clients in civil and commercial litigation and arbitration, as well as bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings.

Cinzia deals with complex litigation matters before Italian courts, and arbitration tribunals in cases involving director and auditor liability, breach of contract, bank guarantees, and application damages. She represents clients in precautionary actions and in investor-initiated arbitrations. She has deep experience drafting and negotiating contracts.

  • Assisted manufacturing companies in several proceedings regarding claims of a foreign or a domestic agency company for sales commissions and compensation for termination of the agency agreement.°
  • Assisted an agency company against multinational telecommunications conglomerate in proceeding regarding the compensation for severance indemnities, damages and violation of agency contract.°
  • Assisted an Italian television broadcasting group owner of several private networks in a complex corporate proceeding regarding the purchase of company shares in the media sector.°
  • Assisted several fashion companies in disputes against different multinational house regarding the violation of a license agreement and trademark counterfeiting.°
  • Assisted a pharmaceutical company in several proceedings concerning alleged unfair competition and violation of the patent right of a pharmaceutical product.°
  • Assisted a pharmaceutical company, in several proceedings concerning the counterfeiting and violation of patent rights of a pharmaceutical product.°
  • Represented a chemical manufacturing company, in a dispute pending before the Arbitration Chamber of Milan against another company operating in the same sector for alleged breach of a know-how transfer agreement.°
  • Represented an engineering company, in a dispute pending before the International Chamber of Commerce of Geneve arises out of the request of claim for damages for the breach of a contract for the construction of a bioethanol production plant.°
  • Assisted several individual private clients in disputes regarding actions of liability against members of the board also in the context of the bankruptcy of an enterprise.°
  • Assisted an engineering company in disputes regarding the request of compensation for damages for breach of procurement contract.°
