Hannah Shanks-Parkin focuses her practice on appellate, securities and financial litigation and arbitration, commercial business disputes, and trusts and estates matters. She has experience representing clients in litigation in state and federal courts, as well as in appellate matters before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the California Court of Appeal. Ms. Shanks-Parkin’s appellate experience also includes motion and writ practice in state and federal appellate courts.

Experience
- Represented major financial institution throughout multi-year action in which Plaintiff sought $88 million for alleged breach of fiduciary duty and aiding and abetting various wrongful conduct by third parties. Jury found no liability after a four-week trial.
- Represented major financial institution and broker in FINRA arbitration in which Claimants sought more than $5 million in damages for alleged breach of fiduciary duty and negligence, obtaining full defense verdict after week-long arbitration hearing.
- Represented fast food franchisee before California Court of Appeal in obtaining complete reversal of multimillion-dollar arbitration award against it.
- Represented tour provider before California Court of Appeal in affirming jury trial verdict awarding more than $2.3 million in damages.
- Obtained dismissal of anti-SLAPP action in trust case for major financial institution.
- Represented major financial institution in wire fraud action, obtaining full dismissal with prejudice.
- Obtained summary judgment for manufacturer in false advertising case.
- Obtained dismissal at the pleading stage of products liability purported class action against major pharmacy chain.
