Hannah Shanks-Parkin focuses her practice on appellate, securities and financial litigation and arbitration, commercial business disputes, and trusts and estates matters. She has experience representing clients in litigation in state and federal courts, as well as in appellate matters before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the California Court of Appeal. Ms. Shanks-Parkin’s appellate experience also includes motion and writ practice in state and federal appellate courts.

  • Represented major financial institution throughout multi-year action in which Plaintiff sought $88 million for alleged breach of fiduciary duty and aiding and abetting various wrongful conduct by third parties. Jury found no liability after a four-week trial. 
  • Represented fast food franchisee before California Court of Appeal in obtaining complete reversal of multimillion-dollar arbitration award against it.
  • Represented major financial institution in wire fraud action, obtaining full dismissal with prejudice.
  • Obtained dismissal at the pleading stage of products liability purported class action against major pharmacy chain.
  • Represented major automobile manufacturer in multiple fraud actions pending throughout California.
  • Obtained settlement for plaintiff in conversion action.
