Profile
Dr. Paul Dürr is an associate in the Technology, Media & Telecommunications practice group. He advises German, European, and international companies on the legal implications of artificial intelligence (AI), digital platforms, e-commerce, fintech, and payment services, as well as data protection, copyright, and trademark law. His focus is on complex technology and outsourcing projects, the contractual protection of digital business models, and regulatory issues relating to IP and data ecosystems. Dr. Dürr advises in particular on the classification and governance of high-risk systems under the EU AI Act – from risk and gap analysis to the preparation of technical documentation and support with conformity assessment.
Dr. Dürr works to guide companies safely through the dynamically growing regulatory environment surrounding AI – from the EU AI Act to industry-specific standards and interfaces with data protection, IT security, and intellectual property law. He combines in-depth technical understanding with a practical and business-oriented approach based on his doctoral thesis on “Social Bots, Digital Manipulation, and Constitutional Law” and his publication on “Corporate Digital Responsibility.”
