American Bar Association 49th Annual Forum on Franchising

GT Shareholders Mo Alturk and Christopher Mair will serve as a speakers at the 49th Annual Forum on Franchising, to be held October 14–16, 2026, in Toronto, Canada.

Dallas Shareholder Mo Alturk will present during the workshop, “W24: Audit Rights: Perspectives from Both Sides of the Aisle.” Panelists will address triggering events, scope, and methodology; access to POS and third party platform data; confidentiality and data privacy limits; and calculating underreporting. The workshop will also cover defending audit scope as proportional, challenging sampling and extrapolation, and preserving privilege when counsel guides the audit. Attendees will learn best practices for audit protocols, hold notices and preservation, expert use at summary judgment and trial, and using audits as a settlement tool.

Chicago Shareholder Christopher Mair will serve as a panelist during the "I-2 Intensive: Half-Day MBA for Franchise Lawyers: Understanding and Using Financial Information" program.
