ATLANTA and BOSTON – July 28, 2022 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP Shareholders Lori G. Cohen and David J. Dykeman are shortlisted to receive LMG Life Sciences Attorney of the Year awards. Winners will be announced at an event to be held in New York Sept. 8.
Cohen, who is vice chair of Greenberg Traurig and co-chair of the firm’s Global Litigation Practice and Trial Practice, is shortlisted for Product Liability Attorney of the Year. Dykeman, who is co-managing shareholder of Greenberg Traurig's Boston office and co-chairs the firm's Global Life Sciences & Medical Technology Group, is shortlisted for Patent Strategy Attorney of the Year – Massachusetts.

Cohen and her team routinely take complex cases to trial and win, including some of the most complex mass torts in history. Well known for her ability to win high-stakes trials, Cohen is often called upon to “parachute in” at the last minute before trial, especially in challenging cases and jurisdictions.
Dykeman, who has been listed as a LMG Life Sciences Star since 2014, is a registered patent attorney with 25 years of experience in patent and intellectual property law. His practice focuses on securing worldwide intellectual property protection and related business strategy for high tech clients, with particular experience in life sciences, medical devices, robotics, materials, and information technology. Dykeman provides strategic patent portfolio development and intellectual property advice for clients, including major research institutions, multinational corporations, and startup companies. He also performs patent due diligence to assess patent portfolios for venture capital investment, mergers and acquisitions, and licensing opportunities. An author of over 55 articles and a speaker at over 50 conferences on intellectual property law, Dykeman is the founding co-chair of the American Bar Association’s Medical Devices Committee.
