Greenberg Traurig’s Orlando Office Adds Former Holiday Inn Vacations Incorporated General Counsel

ORLANDO, Fla. – Dec. 28, 2022 The Orlando office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A. continues its strategic expansion with the addition of former Holiday Inn Club Vacations Incorporated (HICV) General Counsel Brian T. Lower as an of counsel attorney in the Hospitality Practice focused on serving clients in the timeshare industry.

Lower joins Greenberg Traurig after 26 years with HICV, one of the world’s largest vacation ownership companies. As executive vice president and general counsel, Lower led a large and diverse in-house legal department focused on employment law, regulatory compliance, litigation management, and complex finance transactions.

“Brian brings a wealth of vital experience and knowledge from his more than two decades at HICV and further strengthens the capabilities of our Orlando office to service the legal needs of our national and international clients in the hospitality and timeshare industries -- both key economic drivers for Central Florida,” Greenberg Traurig Orlando Managing Shareholder Jéan E. Wilson said. “Brian’s arrival is a testament to the firm’s continued ability to attract talented and seasoned attorneys with expansive local business connections.”

At Greenberg Traurig, Lower will focus his practice on representing timeshare industry clients in business acquisitions, mergers, and dispositions, as well as assisting with legal issues surrounding resort management and operations. Additionally, Lower, whose skillset also includes securitized lending, will support the firm’s Structured Finance and Futures & Derivatives Practices.

“We are thrilled to welcome Brian to Greenberg Traurig as we continue to strategically grow the firm’s Hospitality and Timeshare Practices to meet significant client demand,” said Las Vegas office Managing Shareholder Jim Mace, a key member of the firm’s timeshare team. “Having worked with him on matters involving his former employer, I know that he shares the firm’s strong commitment to client service and experience in law.”

Greenberg Traurig’s multidisciplinary timeshare team comprises hospitality, regulatory, securitization and finance, litigation, advertising and marketing, and real estate attorneys who represent leading vacation ownership developers in all facets of their business activities. The team regularly draws on the resources of the firm’s global network of employment, tax, and state and federal government relations attorneys to provide forward-thinking legal services to clients in the timeshare industry.
