Mathew Rosengart Named to Prestigious LA500 List

LOS ANGELES – June 1, 2023 – Mathew S. Rosengart, a Litigation shareholder in global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Los Angeles office, again was named to Los Angeles Business Journal’s “LA500” list. The list recognizes 500 of the most powerful businesspeople in Los Angeles and honors their achievements and impact on the community, according to the publication.

The Los Angeles Business Journalrecently named Rosengart to its “Top 100 Lawyers” list and has previously recognized him as a “Leader of Influence” and “Top Litigator,” describing him as “one of the nation’s preeminent litigators” who are “masters of their craft,” and a “go-to litigator for Hollywood’s elite and Corporate America.” A governor of the Beverly Hills Bar Association and former federal prosecutor, Rosengart recently was described by his long-time client Sean Penn as “a tough as nails streetfighter with a big brain and bigger principles.” He also has been called a “legal powerhouse,” a “powerful litigator,” a “legendary legal warrior” who is “principled,” and a “heavyweight” and “high powered lawyer” by Yahoo News, Newsweek, ABC, The Guardian, and Law360. Prior to leading the historic fight to suspend Britney Spears’ father as her conservator, which led to the conservatorship’s termination, Rosengart was described by NPR as a lawyer with “a lot of star power” and by LA Magazine as a “winner” and “heavy hitter” with “a long history of getting results for his big-name clients.” He has received numerous accolades throughout his career, including being named Litigator of the Week by The American Lawyer; one of the Top 100 lawyers in California by the Daily Journal; a Sports & Entertainment Trailblazer by The National Law Journal, and a Law360 “MVP” for Media & Entertainment, which recognized the “elite slate of attorneys” who “have distinguished themselves in high-stakes litigation.” He also has been recognized perennially by The Hollywood Reporter and Variety as one of the nation’s leading media and entertainment litigators, was shortlisted as Entertainment Litigator of the Year by Benchmark Litigation, and was recently awarded the Beverly Hills Bar Association’s Excellence in Advocacy Award.
