WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – July 28, 2025 – Greenberg Traurig, P.A. West Palm Beach Litigation Shareholder Robert R. Kane III has been recognized as one of the South Florida Business Journal’s 2025 40 Under 40 honorees.
The South Florida Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 award program recognizes outstanding professionals under the age of 40 based in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties for their leadership, success in business, and contributions to their communities, according to the publication. The 2025 honorees were recognized during the Business Journal’s awards event July 24 at Jungle Island in Miami.
“This recognition reflects not only my individual efforts, but also the support I’ve received from my mentors, colleagues, and community,” Kane said. “I am committed to using my skills and resources to make a positive impact in the community and help others, just as I have been supported along the way. At Greenberg Traurig, giving back to our community is deeply embedded in our firm’s core values and work that we do.”
Kane was recognized for his community and firm leadership. He holds several leadership positions with local organizations, including as the former board chair for the West Palm Beach chapter of Best Buddies International. Among his notable achievements, Kane helped pave the way for new initiatives at Best Buddies, including the development of a new independent living program for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in South Florida. He also serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the YMCA of the Palm Beaches. Committed to fostering meaningful community partnerships, Kane played a key role in bringing the YMCA and Best Buddies together to expand access to water education and swim instruction for people with disabilities in Lake Worth.

As the pro bono coordinator for Greenberg Traurig’s West Palm office, Kane works closely with the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County and has represented underprivileged youth in various pro bono legal matters. Kane also co-chairs the Palm Beach County Bar Association’s Civil Practice Committee, a court advisory group tasked with initiating and evaluating proposals to improve the legal profession and provide community outreach.
As a shareholder in Greenberg Traurig’s West Palm Beach Litigation Practice, Kane represents a wide range of clients in complex business disputes and real estate matters nationwide. He has played a critical role in major litigation victories, including prevailing for Globenet Cabos Submarinos America, Caribbean Crossings, and several big tech companies in a Palm Beach County Circuit Court case that set a precedent for future cases involving sovereign submerged lands in Florida.
