BERLIN – Sept. 14, 2026 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig advised Gilde Healthcare on the parallel acquisitions of BENTEC Endoscopy and Hermann Medizintechnik Group for its Surgical Precision Instruments Group (SPI).
With these two acquisitions, Gilde Healthcare is further advancing the development of SPI as a specialized platform for the contract manufacturing of surgical instruments and implants. The transactions strengthen the group’s market position and expand its manufacturing capabilities, particularly in the field of minimally invasive applications. With the two acquisitions, SPI has completed its fourth and fifth add-on acquisitions since its founding and has grown to more than 500 employees across seven locations in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The group’s revenue is approaching €100 million.
A multidisciplinary Greenberg Traurig team advised Gilde Healthcare on both transactions, including the structuring, negotiation, and execution of the acquisitions, the conducting of legal due diligence, and matters related to employment law, regulatory compliance, and intellectual property law. Both transactions proceeded in parallel until signing and completion.
