Greenberg Traurig Advises Founders of Peakside Capital on Acquisition by DWS
BERLIN/MUNICH, 5 October 2026 - Greenberg Traurig advised the shareholders of Peakside Capital Advisors, led by founders and managing shareholders Stefan Aumann and Boris Schran, on the sale of the European real estate asset manager to DWS Group. With 45 employees across its offices in Zug, Frankfurt, Warsaw, Munich and Luxembourg, the specialist real estate asset manager manages real estate investments with a value of more than EUR 1.7 billion in Germany and Central and Eastern Europe, primarily on behalf of institutional investors.
The transaction is expected to close by the end of 2026. Peakside's current owners, Stefan Aumann, Boris Schran and Simon Lutz, together with the other members of the senior management team, Frank Schäfer and Karol Maziukiewicz, will remain with the company and support the continued development of the business within DWS. Through the acquisition of Peakside Capital, DWS Group is expanding its capabilities in value-add and opportunistic real estate investments.
